Greetings, Molygran family! As the year rapidly approaches its end, we’re excited to share some of the highlights and milestones that have made 2024 another memorable year for us. From innovative projects to celebrating cherished team members, there’s much to reflect on and celebrate.
Crafting 3D Cacti for Splinter Scenery
This year, we had the unique opportunity to create some striking 3D cacti for our valued customer, Splinter Scenery. As always, projects involving TV, set, and design challenge our creativity and expertise, and this one was no exception.
We began with simple 2D shapes, envisioning how they could transform into lifelike cacti. The process, however, was more complex than it initially seemed. To achieve the distinctive grooves and textures of real cacti, we fashioned our own handheld hot wire tool. This innovation allowed us to carve out the intricate details, but not without some trial and error. It took a few attempts to perfect the grooves, but our team relished the challenge and succeeded in bringing these botanical beauties to life.
Celebrating Irene: A Milestone Birthday and Nearly 20 Years of Service
A very special milestone this year was celebrating Irene’s 80th birthday. As our steadfast accounts lady, Irene has been a cornerstone of Molygran for nearly two decades, and she’s still going strong! To honor her dedication and spirit, we pulled out all the stops to make her feel as cherished as she is to us.
In true Molygran fashion, we crafted a miniature theatre set out of polystyrene to present her gift. It was a heartfelt gesture to show our appreciation for everything she has contributed to the company. Here’s to Irene and the many more years we hope to share with her!
Wrapping Up Another Successful Year
As 2024 winds down, we reflect on another successful year in business, made possible by the unwavering support of our incredible customers and suppliers. Your trust and collaboration keep us going year after year.
We celebrated the festive season with our traditional Christmas jumper day at work, spreading cheer and joy throughout the office. Our Christmas celebration arrived a bit earlier this year, with a delightful meal at Istanbul Grill in Prestwich. The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and, admittedly, an alcohol-fueled blur of fun!
Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to another year of creativity, innovation, and cherished partnerships. Here’s to an exciting 2025!
Warm wishes,
The Molygran Team
