Giant Polystyrene Letters

What makes polystyrene “UNIQUE”?

Each year we are commissioned to create a giant “UNIQUE” sign for a dance event. Giant polystyrene letters or giant foam letters are a simple yet effective way to create a focal piece for an event as they can be finished in many different ways.

Polystyrene Giant Letters.

Here at Molygran we offer a wide range of expanded polystyrene giant letters, using only the highest grade of polystyrene available on the market with a flame retardant additive ensuring it meets all health and safety checks.
We have supplied giant letters finished in many ways such as in its natural white finish and painted or glittered in a colour of choice. We have also used alternative finishes such as an acrylic, MDF or plywood face, if you have something in mind we can probably find a way! You can read more about how to “finish” polystyrene here.

We are extremely experienced, with over 150 years experience between us and can replicate almost all designs we are handed. We are often chosen to help with the design process as our customers appreciate our expertise and knowledge. When designing freestanding letters we will work with you to find a font that fits the theme it is required for, whilst also ensuring it will enable the giant letters to be freestanding should it be needed.

The “Unique” Finish.

For our customer, the lightweight properties of polystyrene make their giant letters much more manageable on site. Despite being almost 5ft in height, each letter can be handled by one person with ease, yet despite this, when using good quality, high-density polystyrene they are extremely durable and hard standing. The letters are used in an extremely busy environment (which you can read about here), are used in a dark environment and need to be freestanding, expanded polystyrene giant letters continually provide the perfect solution. With their glitter finish, they catch the light in the dimly lit room and also take on the colour of the lights used as can been seen in the images below. Their bold chunky finish provides the perfect focal piece on the stage.
