Molygran Achieves ISO Accreditations

Molygran Development

Molygran has undergone many structural changes over the last few years. This year we have focused on working on our internal systems to ensure we are fully equipped for the next stage of growth. We are also conscious of ensuring our developments continue to be sustainable ones. This is important to us being polystyrene convertors.

We are proud to have been certified as ISO 9001 and ISO14001 Accredited.

To aid Molygran’s development we went for two accreditations; ISO 9001 and ISO14001. As the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) states;  

ISO 9001 

ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.”
For our next stage of growth, we wanted to ensure that our systems would manage the changes and demands that will occur. We didn’t want a ‘skin deep’ approach. We have worked hard to ensure that our systems continue to supply our customers with the excellent service we are known for. Customer satisfaction is something we pride ourselves on and something we feel makes us stand out from the crowd. As we grow we want to ensure this continues. We feel this accreditation will not only enable any new starters to learn the level we expect, but it will also ensure all current employees can maintain the current standard. 

ISO 14001 

ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.”
As a company that converts expanded polystyrene, we have always been environmentally conscious. During the development of our facilities over the last few years, we have ensured the most sustainable products have been used, including changing all lighting to LED and ensuring we are sufficiently insulated. We also operate lean manufacturing to ensure minimal waste. Any waste we do have is all ground down and compacted for recycling. We are also currently working towards further improving our environmental footprint, and more importantly, our local areas footprint.

ISO Accreditation Benefits

As a family-run business, our staff are more than just staff. They are at the heart of everything we do.  With over 150 years of service between us and 90% with 5 years or more. Molygran try and ensure the workplace is a happy one where people feel valued and encouraged. We have also used this process to aid development within the team and it has been great to see our guys learn some new skills.

We do also like having some fancy certificates at our entrance!!
